The procedure, considered

A more elevated silhouette, shaped with restraint and intention.

A breast lift reshapes and elevates breasts affected by pregnancy, nursing, weight change, or time. Excess skin is removed, the supporting tissue is tightened, and the nipple is repositioned to create a more youthful, centered silhouette.

A lift changes position and shape rather than adding upper-breast fullness. When volume is also desired, an implant may be incorporated into the surgical plan.

Your consultation

Define the shape—not just the lift.

Dr. Nakamura listens to your concerns, evaluates breast position and skin quality, takes measurements, and discusses what a lift can realistically accomplish. If added fullness is important, implant options can be considered at the same time.

  • Degree of elevation
  • Nipple and areola position
  • Whether augmentation would support the desired shape
  • Risks, recovery, pricing, and financing

The procedure

Reshape. Recenter. Refine.

Excess skin is removed and the breast tissue is tightened and reshaped. The nipple and areola are brought to a more central position; the areola may also be reduced when appropriate.

  • General anesthesia
  • Approximately two hours
  • Performed in the accredited surgery center

Recovery

A measured return to your rhythm.

A surgical bra supports the new breast position during early healing. Your caregiver receives detailed home instructions, and the first follow-up is typically around one week. Depending on the demands of work, many patients resume lighter routines within several days to a week.

  • Swelling and tenderness are expected early
  • Activity restrictions are individualized
  • Breast shape continues to refine as tissues settle

Breast Lift FAQs

Questions worth
asking early.

General information to support a more informed consultation. Your recommendations and recovery guidance will always be personalized.

01Who may be a candidate for a breast lift?

A breast lift may be considered by healthy, non-smoking patients who are concerned about sagging or a lower breast position. Individual health, anatomy, and future pregnancy plans are discussed during consultation.

02Does a breast lift add upper-breast volume?

A lift reshapes and elevates existing breast tissue, but it does not create the same upper-breast fullness as an implant. If additional volume is part of your goal, augmentation may be discussed.

03What is recovery after a breast lift like?

Patients are placed in a surgical bra to support healing and typically return for a follow-up visit after one week. Many return to work within several days to a week, while activity guidance remains individualized.
