The procedure, considered

Shape, proportion, and a result that still feels unmistakably like you.

Breast augmentation is designed to increase fullness and projection, restore volume changed by pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight fluctuation, or age, and create greater balance between the breasts and the rest of the figure.

Because augmentation adds volume but does not correct significant drooping, Dr. Nakamura may recommend pairing it with a breast lift when elevation and reshaping are also part of the goal.

Your consultation

The design begins with listening.

Your consultation is a detailed conversation about the shape, scale, and feeling you want—not simply a cup size. Dr. Nakamura reviews your health history, anatomy, implant preferences, expected results, limitations, incision placement, and recovery so the plan is both beautiful and medically appropriate.

  • Implant size, profile, and material
  • Placement above or beneath the pectoral muscle
  • Skin elasticity, body type, and existing breast tissue
  • Risks, recovery, pricing, and financing

Implant options

Chosen for your anatomy—not a trend.

Saline and silicone implants offer different characteristics. Placement may be beneath the pectoral muscle or behind the breast tissue. The right combination depends on your proportions, tissue coverage, skin quality, lifestyle, and desired result.

  • Saline or silicone implant
  • Individualized width and projection
  • Submuscular or subglandular placement

The procedure

Precision through a discreet approach.

The incision is commonly placed within the natural fold beneath the breast, where it is designed to remain inconspicuous. The selected implant is positioned according to the surgical plan, and the incisions are carefully closed.

  • General anesthesia
  • Approximately one hour
  • Performed in the accredited surgery center

Recovery

Supported from the first day forward.

After a monitored recovery period, you return home with a responsible adult and detailed instructions. A supportive postoperative bra is worn initially, with many patients transitioning to a sports bra after the first week. The first follow-up is generally scheduled at about one week.

  • Many patients return to non-strenuous work within about one week
  • Activity and exercise advance only as directed
  • Healing and final settling vary by patient

Breast Augmentation FAQs

Questions worth
asking early.

General information to support a more informed consultation. Your recommendations and recovery guidance will always be personalized.

01Do breast implants have to be replaced every ten years?

Not necessarily. Some patients need replacement because of a complication or a change in their goals, while others enjoy their implants beyond ten years without needing another procedure. Your individual monitoring and circumstances guide that decision.

02How long do breast implants last?

Breast implants are not considered lifetime devices, but many last well beyond ten years. Implant type, changes in your body, and any complications can affect how long they remain appropriate for you.

03Will breast augmentation correct sagging?

Breast augmentation adds volume but does not reliably correct significant drooping. When sagging is a concern, Dr. Nakamura may discuss combining augmentation with a breast lift.

04Are breast implants covered by a warranty?

Most breast implant manufacturers provide warranty coverage, although terms vary by implant and manufacturer. The applicable warranty details can be reviewed during your consultation.
