ThermaVein uses thermocoagulation to address visible thread veins and small vascular blemishes close to the surface of the skin. A fine probe delivers a controlled pulse that seals the targeted vessel so it can naturally break down over time.
It may be considered for spider veins on areas such as the nose, cheeks, face, neck, hands, or legs after an appropriate consultation.

02
No anesthesia or numbing cream
03
No planned downtime
04
One session may be sufficient; some need a series
01
Candidacy
A focused treatment with important limits.
ThermaVein may be appropriate for patients seeking a non-invasive approach to small visible vessels. The existing practice guidance excludes patients who are pregnant, have a pacemaker, have epilepsy, or take anticoagulants; a consultation is essential.
02
The treatment
Thermocoagulation with a fine touch.
The probe gently compresses the vessel and delivers a pulse of energy to seal it. The process is repeated in small increments along the visible vein until the planned area has been treated.
03
Recovery
Return to the day without planned downtime.
Normal activities can generally resume immediately. Temporary redness may appear through the treated area and typically settles with time.
04
Results
Visible change, often immediately.
Veins may show an immediate response, while some vascular blemishes can take up to 10 days to improve. Many patients need one session, though a series may be appropriate in certain cases.
